The third installment in the all-new series from the #1 NEW YORK TIMES bestselling author Maggie Stiefvater!
Blue Sargent has found things. For the first time in her life, she has friends she can trust, a group to which she can belong. The Raven Boys have taken her in as one of their own. Their problems have become hers, and her problems have become theirs. The trick with found things, though, is how easily they can be lost.
After finishing The Raven Thieves, I was actually looking forward to Blue Lily, Lily Blue. I greatly appreciated reading a book mostly focused on Ronan because he’s one of my fave characters, and I was hoping that book three would delve back into the lives of all my other beloved characters from this series. At least on that front, I wasn’t let down.
For some reason, this is a book series of which I actually have no interest in the plot line. I mean sure, I think it’s cool that they’re looking for Glendower and all, but I honestly just read for the characters, because they’re honestly so awesome. I’m obsessed with Gansey and the rest of the Raven Boys, and even Blue is a super lovable and kick-ass character.
However, the plot started to get to me in this book which made me like it slightly less. It just moves so slowly. At times, I felt like I had to push through pretty hard just in order to get myself to read. It just felt like nothing was really happening in the book, which makes me sad to say! Maybe this series would have worked better as a trilogy? I don’t know, but I love Maggie’s novels, so I’m still going to check out The Raven King.
