So, I decided to partake in the Halsey book tag created by Paper Riot. I saw Halsey in concert last year, and it was literally amazing. I highly recommend seeing her live if you can. Anyways, onto the book tag!
Queen Mary from Reign // Okay, so I know that this is a TV show, but I honestly don’t read many books with kings and queens which is kind of sad because I wish I did! I need to read more historical fiction, that’s for sure. Anyway, Queen Mary is literally so awesome. She is always fighting for her country and herself. She’s very inspiring.
The Cave Scene from The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins // Okay, so this one is kind of fake since Katniss was kind of doing it all for the cameras, but it’s literally the moment that Katniss kind of started feeling a little more than friendship towards Peeta.
Voldemort from the Harry Potter series // There’s just so much depth to him. It’s pretty crazy that he literally had everything in common with Harry too despite the fact that he chose evil while Harry chose greatness.
Bellamy and Clarke from The 100 TV show // I’m not the biggest fan of the book series, but damn is this show good. I ship these two so badly, but they really need to communicate more.
Adam & Juliette from the Shatter Me series by Tahereh Mafi // I supported the two of them so badly when I first read Shatter Me, but after rereading it, I literally hated his guts. Plus, she definitely belongs with Warner.
Dorian and Celaena from Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas // I don’t know if this really counts, but I shipped the two of them together so bad. Seriously, I’m currently reading Empire of Storms and I still want them to be together even though it seems like they won’t end up together, like there is no possibility of them even being together now. Not even a glimpse. YET I STILL AM HOLDING OUT HOPE. I just want him to come back and love her.
Pillow Thoughts by Courtney Peppernell // I read this during the school year and it really struck a chord with me. Forget Milk & Honey, you’ve got to read Pillow Thoughts. It’s definitely my favorite poetry compilation, and I think it’s highly underrated.
The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer series and the new Shaw Confessions series by Michelle Hodkin // I literally just can’t get enough of Mara and Noah. They are goals, and I can reread this series as many times as I want and I don’t think I’d ever get sick of it.
We Were Liars by E. Lockhart // So I know that this book received a lot of hate because a lot of people saw right through what was being hidden, but I didn’t know until it was revealed.
Allyson & Willem from the Just One Day duology by Gayle Forman // I’m sorry but there’s just something about these two. They go through so much and somehow STILL END UP TOGETHER. It’d be so great to have a love like theirs.
Kady & Ezra from Illuminae // I think they’re both pretty badass. Sure, I’d be a third wheel, but they’re both so strong that I think I’d just be grateful to be a survivor. Plus, I think they’d be fun to be around.
Levi and Cath from Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell // Does this even need an explanation?
Caine from the Gone series by Michael Grant // I don’t know if everyone hates him, but I’ve had some friends read my copy of Gone and they hated Caine. I guess I just prefer the evil twin. There’s just something about him!
Draco and Hermione from Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling // Okay, I know that this ship has a following, so I’m not that embarrassed by it, but I will go down with this ship.
The Lunar Chronicles series by Marissa Meyer // These are fairytale retellings with a sci-fi twist. I’ve read them all but Winter… I just really don’t want the series to end!
Blue and the Raven Boys from the Raven Cycle series by Maggie Stiefvater // It’s so obvious. They literally all belong together forever (Blue & Gansey especially, for obvious reasons). But they will all do absolutely anything she asks.
Ronan from the Raven Cycle series by Maggie Stiefvater // I was going to try to not use the same book/series twice, but I just had to with this one. I love Ronan, but he can’t help but be self-destructive.
